Role Senior Vice President- Strategic Initiatives
Location Mumbai
Qualification Profile Ph.D./ MBA/ MS (Economics) or equivalent preferably from a top institute or cherished foreign university with understanding of financial markets and strategy.

Job Responsibilities
  • The position will lead a team at the Research and Strategy Department (RSD), to provide strategic inputs to the top management of the Exchange. The position is also required to analyze and evaluate national and international economic and financial trends and assess their impact on the commodity markets. In the process, the position will be an external face of strategy and policy advocacy of the organisation, and will effectively act as liaison with academia and policy.
  • The position should effectively coordinate with the business development department as also the members and clients of the Exchange to understand their needs, and devise strategies for product development accordingly.
  • Further, the position is responsible for providing strategic leadership to Communications Department, both from internal communication and external communication perspectives. The position is responsible for strategic positioning of the organization through various modes of communication, and provides guidance to the communication team. This involves planning for appropriate publications, right modes of dissemination and advertisements, and finding the right avenues for moving across the right message that stands as the organisation’s vision.
  • Investor Relations: Regular communication with potential investors, and at times the shareholders to resolve their queries. In most cases, the queries arise in the form of the business philosophy and future strategy of the organization. One very critical group of in this domain happens to be the analysts. The position should also guide the analysts so that they form the right perception and follow an appropriate methodology to communicate about the company to the investors.
  • Training and Certification: Conceptualising various training modules, and guiding the training staff.
  • Corporate Social Responsibility: CSR is being treated as a strategic opportunity. Hence, thinking of the right types of programmes is essential. This requires the candidate having knowledge about the development sector.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategy formulation and implementation, including policy advocacy for development of Commodity Markets;
  • Conduct internal research projects leading to new avenues and potential new products for the Exchange;
  • Regular publications of occasional papers, policy briefs, newspaper and popular media articles on key policy issues of the commodity markets;
  • Building academic relations with cherished educational and research organizations leading to awareness, and knowledge creation, further leading to advocacy among policy makers and civil society;
  • Understanding of business development issues and needs and undertakes communication strategies through publications, advertising, events, media, etc.
  • Heading Investor Relations and CSR and treating them as integral component of the company’s strategic vision.
  • Designing various training modules and coordinating with various stakeholder groups to disseminate commodity training.
Role Management Trainee– Membership
Location Mumbai
Qualification Profile MBA / CA / CS / CFA or CA inter / CS inter with relevant experience.

Job Responsibilities
  • To ensure members’ compliance with the FMC guidelines, Exchange Rules, Bye-Laws, Business Rules and circulars.
  • Check / Verify requests / Check-lists put up by junior members of the team w.r.t. issuance of status reports to members / FMC
  • Check / Verify requests / Check-lists put up by junior members of the team w.r.t. publishing advertisement by members for business purpose
  • Check / Verify the post inspection action proposals put up by junior members of the team w.r.t. the inspections ordered by FMC / the Exchange
  • Processing ACRs, sending observations, levying non-submission / delay submission charges
  • Regular follow-up with CA. firms for status of inspections & consequent submission of reports

  • Check and verify the details of Purchase requests. i.e. Material description, Qty, budgeted amount.
  • Get the best quotes from multiple vendors and verify the same with the requests received. Shortlist the vendors.
  • Creation and maintenance of complete documentation right from inviting quotes, PR to PO release with necessary documentation and approvals in agreed TAT. Verifying the Invoices, Installation reports, acknowledge documents for Payment processing to vendors as per the payment terms.

Job Responsibilities
  • Working knowledge of Exchange related applications (Stock/Commodity/CTCL (ODIN)) & Financial/Banking related applications.
  • Must have hands on system admin experience with Microsoft Windows 2003/2008 servers. Good knowledge of MS SQL 2005/2008 Servers.
  • Working knowledge of Backup Solutions (NT BACKUP and VERITAS BACKUP EXEC), LTO Tape Drives, Tape Libraries, Storage Solutions and remote connectivity exposure. Database Backup from SQL Enterprise Manager, Compressed Backup etc.

Work Experience Minimum 8/10 years of relevant experience with at least 5 years in the area of risk management with a bank/insurance company/stock or commodity exchange, etc. The candidate should also have thorough knowledge of general techniques and tools of risk management

  • Evaluating effectiveness of the existing internal control mechanisms by analysing reports, information, transaction details, and assessing the potential risks and frauds
  • Identifying, analysing, designing and documenting the risks associated with business operations, compliances, financial transactions, technology and assets, and implementing the overall risk management policies, procedures, and establishing control mechanisms to mitigate the identified risks
